Skill Extractors are an essential component of EVE Online's Skillpoint trading system. They can be used to extract Skillpoints from any character with over 5.5M allocated Skillpoints. By using Skill Extractor on a character, it will subtract 500.000 Skillpoints and create a Large Skill Injector. All you have to do is to select your Skill Extractor from the Hangar and use it on a character. You will be asked to choose which Skills you want the Skillpoints to be extracted from. Keep in mind that Skillpoints below 5M cannot be subtracted, and unallocated Skillpoints don't count towards this limit. Skill Extractors are often used by highly skilled pilots, to create heavily demanded consumables that they can sell on the player market or use on their alternative characters to quickly level up their skills and save time on lengthy training.

Skill Extractors are exclusive to the in-game New Eden Store (NES). Initially, they can be only purchased with PLEX, however, after obtained, they can be traded with other players, so you will often see them offered on the market for ISK as well. You can expect Skill Extractors to be in high demand, as the Injectors they create are among the most tangible goods in EVE Online. 

There are some limitations when it comes to using Skill Extractors. First of all, you need to be logged in the game via the official game launcher. You need to be docked in a station and inside your pod, as mentioned earlier, your character needs at least 5,500,000 Skillpoints, as Skillpoints below 5,000,000 can't be extracted and Extractors always have to extract the entire 500k Skillpoints to work. Also, you can't use Extractors on skills that are prerequisites to another skill unless you choose to extract those first. There are also some skills like Cybernetics, Command Center Upgrades, Infomorph Psychology (and its Advanced version), and Interplanetary Consolidation.
