Build Overview

Storm Claw Druid is one of the more interesting builds as it uses two Basic Skills to do the heavy lifting - Claw and Storm Strike. Storm Strike will be automatically triggered on Claw use so that you can spend most of the time Shapeshifted into a Werewolf. It synergizes extremely well with Grizzly Rage Ultimate Skill and Dire Wolf's Aspect. It's achieved by equipping a Unique Greatstaff of the Crone - it's a mandatory item if you want to run this build. The game provides an unusually high amount of tools you can implement to increase your Basic Skill's Damage like Topaz Gem in w weapon's slot or Aspect of Might. The build also values high Attack Speed, Lucky Hit Chance, and Critical Strike modifiers which result in a lot of damage after allocating Lupine Ferocity Key Passive. The multiple Items, Skills, and Paragon nodes improve your Survivability, especially Damage Reduction, so even despite the short range, the character is very hard to kill.

Please keep in mind, that the following Guide explains the basic variant of the build, without diving into all alternative variants that may utilize different utility skills for various benefits. This will be obviously updated as we have a chance to test out this build properly in the actual game.

Items

Here's the stat priority list. Helm and Weapon are Unique - it's the Tempest Roar and Greatstaff of the Crone. In your other gear pieces prioritize CDR, Maximum Life, Critical Damage, Crit Chance, Attack Speed, Damage Reduction, and Lucky Hit Chance. Enemies should be Close to you, Slowed, and Vulnerable most of the time. You'll spend a lot of, if not all time in a Werewolf form.

CODEX OF POWER
Legendary Aspects

Mandatory/Heavily recommended Aspects

  1. Aspect of Dark Howl makes the Debilitating Roar a Werewolf Skill. It will also Immobilize Poisoned enemies, which they should be due to Toxic Claws passive.
  2. Overcharged Aspect is excellent. Lucky Hits have a low chance to Overload enemies for 3 seconds. Dealing damage to them will create a Pulse which can hit all surrounding foes.
  3. Rapid Aspect greatly increases Attack Speed with Claw, it's a must-have.
  4. Dire Wolf's Aspect makes your Ultimate Skill transform you into a Dire Werewolf, not Dire Werebear. The Ultimate Skill grants Movement Speed, Damage Reduction, Spirit Cost Reduction, and Kills will now Heal you.
  5. Rampaging Beast Aspect enhances your Ultimate Skill once again. It increases its Duration. Critical Strikes will increase Crit Damage while it's active.

Optional Aspects

  1. Aspect of Disobedience the faster you're able to deal damage, the more Armor you gain. One of the best Aspects in the game.
  2. Aspect of Might makes your Basic Skill grant you 20% Damage Reduction for 2 o 6 seconds. You're using them all the time.
  3. Exploiter's Aspect increases CC's Duration. Increases your damage against Unstoppable enemies instead.
  4. Stormshifer's Aspect increases the Rank of all Shapeshifting Skills by two if your Hurricane is active.
  5. Vigorous Aspect adds an additional 15% Damage Reduction if you're a Werewolf.

Nodes - Heightened Malice node is great with Poison, which you can apply easily - makes you deal increased damage while there are 3 Poisoned enemies nearby.

Glyphs - Spirit increases Crit Damage per Dexterity in range and increases your damage against targets you Strike Critically - great against bosses or with a high Crit Chance and Attack Speed.
