Hypixel SkyBlock Items

Itemization is one of the most important aspects of any MMORPG and Hypixel SkyBlock is no different (yes, we share the opinion that it can easily be called an MMORPG). The gear progression in the mod is well-considered and the feeling of becoming much stronger after obtaining a powerful item is there. In fact, some of the Hypixel SkyBlock Items are so powerful that the gear gap between new players with just vanilla equipment and fully decked-out veterans is just gargantuan - comparing their power-levels is like comparing a domestic kitten to a Tiger (the tank, not the animal). Despite this power gap, the difficulty of different PvE areas is scaled well, and encourages players to look for gear upgrades; in fact, obtaining the best items possible is the main incentive to play for a lot of players. Not all Hypixel SkyBlock Items are combat-oriented, however - a lot of them were designed to help with other aspects of gameplay, like building or farming. If you are used to vanilla Minecraft items, the sheer number of unique gear pieces you can obtain, and the number of different bonuses they provide, in Hypixel SkyBlock will boggle your mind.

Hypixel SkyBlock Gear

Gear, in Hypixel SkyBlock, can be divided into four main categories, Weapons (which can be further divided into Swords, Bows, and Ability-Damage Weapons), Accessories, Armor, and Tools. 

Swords - These come in many shapes and forms in SkyBlock - any melee Weapon with a Sword tag is considered a "Sword", even if its shape or properties state otherwise. Stats of Swords can be modified via enchanting and reforging. Here are some examples of the most powerful and the most interesting Swords available in the mod: 

• Ornate Zombie Sword - This Epic Sword, which is an upgrade of the regular Zombie Sword (tip: Reforges and Enchantments carry over from the Zombie Sword, so it is a good idea to upgrade the Zombie Sword before Ornating it as it will save you a lot of money), has one of the most useful Item Abilities in the game; Using It will heal you for 144 + 5% of your max Health and also Heal all players within 7 blocks radius for 48. The Sword stores up to 5 charges of this Heal and 1 charge is gained every 15 seconds. Thanks to this ability, Ornate Zombie Sword is one of the most useful Hypixel SkyBlock Items available. You should keep this Item around, even if you have a more powerful weapon already, as you never know when you might need some quick healing. 
• Reaper Falchion - This Epic Sword is unlocked by finishing the Revenant Horror Slayer Quest. It is, by far the best Weapon you can have against the undead, as it deals +200% Damage to Zombies and provides 20% Damage Reduction from Zombies while equipped. Moreover, you heal for 10 Health per hit while wielding it. To use Reaper Falchion, you have to have a Zombie Slayer of at least level 6. It is crafted by combining a Revenant Falchion (this requires 40960 Diamonds, 40960 Rotten Flesh, 1 Undead Catalyst, and 1 Undead Sword to craft) with Revenant Catalyst and Revived Heart. Three Reaper Falchions are needed for the Legendary Reaper Scythe craft. 

Bows - This category covers all Hypixel SkyBlock Weapons that require projectiles to operate. The main advantage of Bows over melee weapons is the fact that they have a considerably higher range. Just like other weapons, Bows can be enchanted and reforged to improve their statistics. The most powerful and the most interesting Bows available in the mod include: 

• Runaan's Bow - This Legendary Bow is one of, if not the best, bows in Skyblock. Thanks to its Triple Shot ability, it fires 3 arrows at a time - the 2 extra projectiles deal 40% of the player's Damage. When properly enchanted, this Bow can create a storm of extremely deadly homing arrows that will make any encounter much easier. The main advantage of Runaan's Bow over other ranged weapons is the fact that it's extremely cheap to craft, especially if we consider its power - it costs only around 400k. 

Ability-Damage Weapons - These weapons have unique spell-like abilities with different effects and their damage output is determined by the wielder's Intelligence. Some Abilities deal Magic Damage which ignores the enemy's Armor, but there are also some dungeon mobs that are partially resistant to Magic. Some of the more interesting Hypixel SkyBlock Items that fall into this category include: 

• Pigman Sword - This Legendary Sword is widely regarded as one of the most powerful Hypixel SkyBlock Items. Its Ability called Burning Souls forms vortexes of flame that attack nearby enemies dealing 30000 Damage over 5 seconds and increasing your Defense by 300. Fully decked out with enchants and hot potato books, Pigman Sword is worth millions of coins on the bazaar. It is part of the Raw Porkchop collection and is unlocked at level IX. Crafting it requires 1 Stick and 48 Enchanted Grilled Pork (which is equal to 1228800 Raw Porkchops). Fun Fact: you will get the "This is Fair" achievement if you kill a pig with this sword. 

Accessories - These items grant a bonus (a perk or a buff) while they remain in the player's inventory or the Accessory Bag (we recommend every player to get a Colossal Accessory Bag Upgrade which is unlocked by maxing out the Redstone collection. Otherwise, Accessories will clog up your inventory very quickly). Currently, there are 63 unique accessories in SkyBlock. They can be upgraded to increase their effects (there are three accessory tiers - Talisman ⇒ Ring ⇒ Artifact) and reforged to grant additional statistics. Effects of the same accessories do not stack, even if they are of different tiers; only the best one affects the player. Some of the more powerful accessories include: 

• Experience Artifact - This Epic Accessory makes you gain 25% more experience from experience orbs, which makes it one of the most powerful Hypixel SkyBlock Items you can have (and the earlier you obtain it, the higher its impact on your character will be). It is unlocked at level IX of Lapis Lazuli Collection and it can be crafted from 9 Enchanted Lapis Blocks (which are made from 160 Enchanted Lapis Lazuli each; which are, in turn, created from 160 Lapis Lazuli each), so it is extremely expensive to make. Despite the prohibitive price, the experience increase is definitely worth it as it will speed up your character progression by 25% in all aspects of the game. 

Armor - Sets of protective equipment that increase the player's statistics when worn; Players have 4 Armor slots, each dedicated to one armor part - Boots, Leggings, Chestplate, and Helmet. Armors commonly boost Crit Damage, Strength, Health, and Defense, but some of them also affect other stats. Just like most other Hypixel SkyBlock Items, these can be Enchanted and Reforged to increase their stats. The most sought-after armor pieces are: 

• Crystal Armor Set - This armor set gives an extremely high Intelligence boost (you can achieve over 1000 base mana while wearing this set very easily). Thanks to this, it is commonly used, instead of mana potions, for regenerating one's mana - you put it on, wait for your mana to regenerate, and swap it back for your main set. Crystal Set is crafted from Crystal Fragments and is not a part of any collection which means that it has no unlocking requirements. If you want to farm materials by yourself, you can obtain Crystal Fragments from Zealots. If not, it will cost you around 700k to buy all 24 Crystal Fragments required. 
• Farmer Boots - This pair of boots can be unlocked in the Pumpkin collection and costs 40960 pumpkins to create. While there are other, more powerful boots available, these ones shine because of their low crafting cost and the considerable speed boost they provide (10 and +4 for every farming level). If your Farming level is maxed out, these boots will give you a whopping 210 Speed. Thanks to this considerable speed increase, Farmer Boots are commonly used for harvesting crops and farming in general. 

Tools - These Hypixel Skyblock Items are used for harvesting materials (Axes are used to chop wood, Fishing rods are used for fishing, Pickaxes are used for breaking stones and mineral ores, and so on). The mod offers a plethora of Tools with powerful built-in enchants that make the resource-gathering process quicker, more efficient, or simply more enjoyable. Here are examples of some of the more useful tools you can obtain in Hypixel Skyblock:

• Treecapitator - This Epic Golden Axe is able to break up to 35 connected Wood Blocks at once, which means that it cuts down most trees in a single stroke. It is crafted by upgrading the Jungle Axe (the recipe requires 1 Jungle Axe and 512 Enchanted Obsidian) and costs around 1.5kk to make. To unlock it, you will need to obtain Obsidian Collection level VIII. As far as tools go, this one is a must-have as it speeds up the wood gathering process immensely.
