POE2 Currency System
The Currency system in Path of Exile is unlike that of any other game of this genre. In place of a single valuable commodity, such as Gold, the trade between players is conducted via various Orbs. These Currency Items have their designated purpose - they modify wearable items, each in a different way. Equipment pieces created with such Orbs are the gear you grind towards in this game. Path of Exile 2 is a sequel, and so, many of the Currency Items from the previous game made a reappearance, although not all of them. The purpose of some has been altered too. Their usage is somewhat familiar but alien enough to warrant a completely separate and fresh examination, even by veteran players.
How to earn and accumulate POE2 Orbs
All the Currency Items are found by simply playing the game; they drop from enemies and are to be looted from chests. The most profitable strategies undoubtedly involve the most challenging end-game content, but the specifics are not easy to lay down, especially now, during the turbulent early access period. It also goes without saying that to make high profits, you will need a fast build with high damage. It's important to remind the old players here, that in contrast to POE, in POE2 the Item Rarity stat increases the value of Currency Items dropped.
One could try to craft items using Orbs and then sell them for more Orbs making money on that margin; that usually requires a lot of initial capital, not to mention the knowledge one has to possess to use Orbs in the most efficient manner. Crafting gear is an unpredictable and time-consuming part of the game and a lot of players are willing to simply pay others to do it for them, hardly anyone sews their own clothes.
