Enhanced Weapon Deadeye Lost Ark Build

Enhanced Weapon Deadeye Lost Ark Build

A high Crit-based Deadeye build that offers a wide skill set to make the gameplay much more captivating

 Enhanced Weapon Deadeye
PvE Raiding Build
for Lost Ark

Last Update: 14th June 2022

Introduction

Deadeye is a versatile and very mobile ranged DPS Class, just like His female counterpart - the Gunslinger. He uses three weapons: a Pistol, a Shotgun, and a Rifle. Unlike Gunslinger who prefers a Rifle, Deadeye feels better with a Shotgun in His hands. There are two main Deadeye PvE Raiding Builds, both based on one of His Class Engravings: PistoleerPistoleer and Enhanced WeaponEnhanced Weapon. The featured build is based on the latter.

Enhanced Weapon Deadeye gains a +20% (to +30% at Level 3 Enhanced WeaponEnhanced Weapon) Crit Rate buff when He changes His stance. This, combined with other Crit Buffs (Weakness ExposureWeakness Exposure, and extra Crit from Back Attacks) results in Him having a whooping base Crit Rate of 40-50% with His Shotgun. Because of this, He deals a lot of Damage very consistently. He uses a total of 16 Skills, so there's no real downtime - you always have something to do when playing the Enhanced Weapon Deadeye. To balance things out, Shotguns have a very limited Range and their Skills often lock you in quite long animations (which can be quite dangerous as Deadeye is rather squishy).

Stat Priority

Enhanced Weapon Deadeye should prioritize Specialization and Crit, but the exact ratios will depend on the Tier you're currently progressing through. In some cases, Swiftness is also viable.

  1. Tier 1 and Tier 2 - To achieve optimal results, you should split your stats 55/45 between Specialization and Crit. Doing so will enhance your Shotguns and provide some extra Crit for your Pistol Skills. Having Specialization as your secondary stat at these tiers is also somewhat viable.
  2. Tier 3 - At this point, Specialization becomes Pistoleer Deadeye's main focus and you should have it on all of your accessories. The choice of the secondary stat from the necklace is up to you - you can choose either Crit for some extra Damage, or Swiftness for better mobility, attack speed, and cooldown reduction.

Rotations/Skill Usage

  • AT02 GRENADEAT02 Grenade and Spiral TrackerSpiral Tracker are your team synergy skills. You should use them to maintain the Weakness ExposureWeakness Exposure debuff on the boss. Your aim is to keep this active at all times - once it ends, swap to Pistol Stance and re-apply it.
  • DEXTEROUS SHOTDextrous Shot, Somersault ShotSomersault Shot, and ENFORCE EXECUTIONEnforce Execution are your mobility skills - use them to reposition yourself and avoid any telegraphed attacks. Spacebar Dodge is best used for canceling animations.
  • ENFORCE EXECUTIONEnforce Execution is your Counter Skill as well.
  • EquilibriumEquilibrium and Spiral TrackerSpiral Tracker are your sources of ConvictionConviction and JudgementJudgement

Your Rotation/Priority List looks as follows (prioritize the Skills/Steps that are higher on the List - if something refreshes or the situation demands it (upcoming Mobility Phase, for example), use it before continuing down the list):

  1. Use Pistol Stance whenever you need extra mobility to dodge attacks/follow encounter mechanics. Somersault ShotSomersault ShotDexterous ShotDexterous Shot, and PeacekeeperPeacekeeper are your mobility tools.
  2. Apply Weakness ExposureWeakness Exposure with AT02 GRENADEAT02 Grenade or Spiral TrackerSpiral Tracker
  3. If the ConvictionConviction Rune from Spiral TrackerSpiral Tracker activates, try to trigger JudgementJudgement by using the EquilibriumEquilibrium. It has a 30-second Cooldown and won't always trigger - in such a case, just follow the Priority List.
  4. Enter Shotgun Stance and use the following Skills:
    1. Last Request Last Request
    2. Shotgun DominatorShotgun Dominator
    3. Shotgun Rapid FireShotgun Rapid Fire
    4. Sign of ApocalypseSign of Apocalypse

Recommended Engravings

  1. Enhanced WeaponEnhanced Weapon (Class Engraving) - Changing Stances enhances your Weapon, giving you an increased Crit Rate for 9 seconds (Level 1: +20%, Level 2: +25%, Level 3: +30%).

This is what defines this build. Since Levels 2 and 3 only provide minor upgrades, having this at Level 1 is perfectly fine (other Combat Engravings will give you more benefits when leveled up).

  1. GrudgeGrudge - Increases your Damage Dealt to Bosses (Level 1: +4%, Level 2: +10%, Level 3: +20%), but makes you take 20% more damage from them.

This Engraving is extremely powerful, but it will punish you if you make a mistake. Deadeye has no defense to speak of and relies on His mobility to avoid taking damage - if you're confident in your ability to dodge attacks, GrudgeGrudge will serve you well. Pick it up only if you feel like you can avoid most (or all) avoidable damage during boss encounters. If you're still learning mechanics, you'll be better off skipping it for the first two Tiers (it's only worth using at Level 3 and only becomes necessary for Tier 3 content, anyway).

  1. Ambush MasterAmbush Master - Increases the damage you deal with Back Attacks (Level 1 - +5%, Level 2 - +12%, Level 3 - + 25%). You should get this at Level 3 (which could amount to 25% increased DPS if you're perfect at performing back attacks).

Most of the attacks you will be using have the Back Attack modifier. Because of this, Ambush MasterAmbush Master Engraving is an excellent choice. Also, it will encourage you to pay more attention to your positioning as missing Back Attacks while you have it active will make you lose even more potential DPS than otherwise.

  1. AdrenalineAdrenaline - When using skills other than mobile and basic attacks, attack power increases by (Lv. 1: 0.3%, Lv. 2: 0.6%, Lv. 3: 1%) for 6 seconds (stacks up to 6), and when this effect reaches its maximum stack, critical hit rate increases by an additional (Lv. 1: 5%, Lv. 2: 10%, Lv. 3: 15%). This effect is applied after the skill ends if the cooldown time reduction due to skill cancellation is applied.

Thanks to the total number of Skills you have access to with this build, AdrenalineAdrenaline is a perfect choice - you should be able to stack it up with ease. It will provide you with extra Crit Rate and Attack Power, both of which are extremely valuable to you. Having this at Level 2 is generally enough.

  1. Keen Blunt Weapon Keen Blunt Weapon - Increases your Crit Damage (Level 1: +10%, Level 2: +25%, Level 3: +50%) but also gives your attacks a chance to deal 20% Reduced Damage.

The more Crit Rate you have, the more powerful this Engraving becomes. As an Enhanced Weapon Deadeye, you have an incredibly high base Crit Rate and you want to stack even more of it eventually. Because of this, Keen Blunt Weapon Keen Blunt Weapon is a natural fit.

  1. Cursed DollCursed Doll - Increases Attack Power at the cost of reduced 25% Healing Received (does not affect natural Health recovery (Level 1 - +3% Attack Power, Level 2 - 8% Attack Power, Level 3 - +16% Attack Power).

This Engraving can significantly boost your offensive power, but the tradeoff is painful. Pick it up only if you know encounter mechanics very well, as its downside will hurt too much otherwise; In other words: if you lack encounter experience, skip it. Also, using this at Levels 1 and 2 is not worth the risks involved (so, use it at Level 3 or don't use it at all).

  1. Spirit AbsorptionSpirit Absorption - Increases Attack Speed and Movement Speed by (Level 1 - 3%, Level 2 - 8%, Level 3 - 15%).

Enhanced Weapon Deadeye is very mobile, but having even more mobility can't hurt - especially if the mobility boost brings the Attack Speed boost along with it. Because of this, picking Spirit AbsorptionSpirit Absorption is an excellent choice. With it at Level 3, you'll move significantly quicker and your skill animations will become much faster. In other words, it will make your character much less annoying to play during dynamic encounters.

  1. Raid CaptainRaid Captain - Increases Damage Dealt by a percentage (Level 1: +10%, Level 2: +22%, Level 3: +45%) of basic Move Speed Bonus.

Raid CaptainRaid Captain paired with Level 3 Spirit AbsorptionSpirit Absorption and a total Movement Speed of 140% will give you ~+18% increased damage. If you run Swiftness as your secondary stat and have Spirit AbsorptionSpirit Absorption, it's definitely a viable option.

Gear Sets, Gems, Cards, etc.

  • Gear Sets - As a DPS Class, Enhanced Weapon Deadeye wants His set to boost His offensive capabilities as much as possible. Here are the optimal Sets for each Tier:
    • Tier 1: Seraphic Oath Set (Epic); Boisterous Elemental Set (Legendary)
    • Tier 2: Marvelous Earth Set (Epic); Unyielding Will Set (Legendary)
    • Tier 3: Twisted Dimensional Set (Epic); Preordained Diligence Set (Legendary)
    • Late Game mixed Set options:
      • Over 1415 GS: Preordained Diligence Set Gloves and Shoulders (Legendary) + Demon Beast Strength Set Chest, Head, Weapon, and Legs (Legendary)
      • Over 1430 GS: Preordained Diligence Set Gloves and Shoulders (Legendary) + Demon Beast Strength Set Chest and Legs (Legendary) + Earth's Entropy Set Head and Weapon (Relic)
      • Over 1445 GS: Preordained Diligence Set Chest and Legs + Earth's Entropy Set Head and Weapon (Relic) + Poem of Salvation Set Gloves and Shoulders (Relic)
  • Gems -  With these, you can apply a Cooldown Reduction or Bonus Damage to your Skills. There is a limit of 11 Gems; you should distribute them in the following way:
    • You should use Cooldown Reduction Gems on the following Skills: Quick ShotQuick Shot, Sign of ApocalypseSign of Apocalypse, Shotgun Rapid FireShotgun Rapid Fire, Shotgun DominatorShotgun Dominator, Last RequestLast Request
    • You should use Attack Gems on the following Skills: Cruel TrackerCruel TrackerQuick ShotQuick ShotSign of ApocalypseSign of Apocalypse, Shotgun Rapid FireShotgun Rapid Fire, Shotgun DominatorShotgun Dominator, Last RequestLast Request
  • Cards - Depending on your budget, you should go for one of the following Card Sets:
    • Light of Salvation Set - A Full set offers +30% Dark Damage Reduction, changes your Damage type to Holy, and increases your Holy Damage dealt by 15%. This is the optimal Set for the build.
    • Three Umar Families Set - A Full set offers +12% Back Attack Damage to Enemies, -7.5% Damage from Guardians during Guardian Raids, 5% Elemental Damage Reduction, +2% Elemental Damage Done, A chance to Increase All Elemental Damage by 24% for 8 seconds. This is a relatively cheap option, only worth using if you have the Back Attack Damage bonus from it.
    • Lostwind Cliff Set - A Full set offers +25% Dark Damage Reduction and +7% Critical Rate. This one is the cheapest of the recommended three.
