Wind Druid Magic Find Build for Diablo 2 Resurrected

Wind Druid
Magic Finding Build

For Diablo 2 Resurrected

Build Overview

Druid's Elemental Skill tree offers two self-contained paths to choose from; Fire and Wind. While Fire has a very high damage potential, Wind is by far the more universal of the two because it's capable of dealing two types of damage (Cold and Physical). Thanks to this property, Wind Druid can Magic Find everywhere in the game if you provide it with enough survivability, which is usually done by investing points into Oak Sage and Grizzly.

Below, we present you with our take on the Magic Finding Wind Druid build. While it's not the fastest, it more than makes up for it with its versatility. It can simply ignore enemy immunities as Tornado deals Physical Damage and Cyclone provides Cold Damage. Moreover, it is one of the most durable Magic Finding builds out there, thanks to a tanky Grizzly summon, elemental-absorbing Cyclone Armor, and the Oak Sage that gives it a massive Health boost. If you're looking for a build that can do pretty much anything, you'll love this one.

 Pros  Cons
Very versatile   Clear speed is not the best
Great survivability   Requires multiple expensive gear pieces
Able to deal multiple types of damage   Requires on Enigma for Mobility

Skills

ATTRIBUTES
  1. Strength - All you want, in terms of Strength, is enough of it to equip everything you will want to use on your character.
  2. Dexterity - Same as Strength - you only need enough Dexterity to meet gear requirements.
  3. Vitality - You should put all your remaining points here - main stat.
  4. Energy - Adding points to Energy is an extreme waste - don't do it.
ELEMENTAL SKILLS

This is the core Skill Tree of this Build. From it, you're going to get Cyclone Armor - a nice defensive skill, Hurricane - a powerful AoE skill, Twister - a solid synergy for the build, and the mighty Tornado - your main source of single-target damage. All four of the above-mentioned wind-based Druid Skills synergize with each other, making Wind Druidvery powerful at what it does.

Skills:

  1. Arctic Blast [1/20] - Prerequisite. A spout of ice that freezes your enemies.
  2. Cyclone Armor [20/20] - Covers the Druid in protective forces that absorb elemental attacks. This skill not only gives you a nice shield that absorbs all kinds of elemental damage but also synergizes with your core offensive skills.
  3. Twister [20/20] - Summons three small twisters that deal damage and stun enemies. You should max this one out because of the synergies it gives to the Tornado and the Hurricane.
  4. Tornado [20/20] - Casts a larger whirlwind to damage your foes. This is a Twister on steroids, much better at dealing with individual targets. Also, Tornado synergizes with Hurricane, Twister, and Cyclone Armor.
  5. Hurricane [20/20] - Manipulates a strong force of the wind to surround your character. This creates a powerful aura-like effect around your character that damages and slows all enemies within its area of influence. Hurricane's damage output is not amazing, but its range and slowing effect more than makes up for it. Hurricane synergizes with Cyclone Armor, Tornado, and Twister.
SUMMONING SKILLS

This Skill Tree is a great source of utility and you should take full advantage of that. You should take two skills from it: Grizzly and Oak Sage. The first is going to serve as your loyal companion and guardian, and the latter will help you stay alive by greatly increasing your Life total.

Skills:

  1. Raven [1/20] - Prerequisite. Summons a flock of Ravens to peck out the eyes of nearby monsters. Each summoned Raven has a chance to blind an enemy it attacks (this won't work on other Players, Super Uniques, and Bosses).
  2. Summon Spirit Wolf [1/20] - Summons a spirit wolf to attack your enemies.
  3. Oak Sage [20/20] - Summons a spirit that increases your party's health. This is a powerful utility skill that increases the Health of everyone in your group, including mercenaries and summons. With it, your survivability simply skyrockets.
  4. Summon Dire Wolf [X/20] - Summons a Dire Wolf to attack your enemies. This is the Summon Grizzly's synergy skill. You should spend all your remaining points here to make your pet Bear a bit tankier.
  5. Summon Grizzly [1/20] - Summons a Grizzly bear to attack your enemies. Even with just 1 point invested, this is a very durable summon that excels at tanking and soaking up damage.
SHAPE SHIFTING AURAS

This build does not utilize any Shape Shifting Skills.

Skills:

  1. none.

Items

Faster Cast Rate is a must-have for Wind Druid and you should get enough of it to reach the 99% FCR Breakpoint. +Skills are also extremely important as they will greatly increase your Damage output (pretty much every Skill you're using benefits from +Skills a lot). Magic Find is another stat you should stack as this is a Magic Finding build after all. Extra Health and Vitality is always welcome as well, as it makes you a bit tankier, but you have Oak Sage to take care of that already. Faster Hit Recovery, Faster Run/Walk, and extra Stamina/Stamina Regen are also very useful to have.

War Traveler (Battle Boots) - These boots are a staple of most Magic Finding builds as there's no real alternative. From them, you'll get up to 50% MF, unlimited running (thanks to slower stamina drain), and 25% Faster Run/Walk.

War Traveler

  • Defense: 120-139

Sandstorm Trek (Scarabshell Boots) - These boots are going to significantly increase your survivability. Attributes provided by them are of more value to this Druid than to other characters because of the Oak Sage. Moreover, they take care of your Poison Resistance needs on their own pretty much.

  • Required Strength: 91
  • Kick Damage: 60-110

    • Repairs 1 Durability in 20 Seconds

BELTS

Arachnid Mesh (Spiderweb Sash) - This amazing belt will give you two extremely important things: + Skills and Faster Cast Rate (the latter is extremely important as it's going to allow you to reach the FCR Breakpoint much easier). Other belt choices are not even close when it comes to the value they provide.

Arachnid Mesh

  • Defense: 119-138
  • Required Level: 80
  • Required Strength: 50
  • Durability: 12
  • 16 Potion Boxes

    • Increases Maximum Mana 5%
    • Level 3 Venom (11 Charges)

CHARMS

  1. Gheed's Fortune -  The secret to Gheed's wealth and prosperity. Pretty much a must-have if you're after the best available charms. It adds 80-160% extra gold from monsters, reduces vendor prices by up to 15%, and gives up to 40% better magic find.
  2. Grand Charms - Getting some of these with +Elemental Skills is going to increase your damage output. Just remember that every grand charm is potentially 21 less Magic Find (provided that you would use three 7 MF Small Charms instead).
  3. Large Charms -  Using Large Charms in D2R is not recommended, with the exception of Hellfire Torch.
  4. Small Charms - With these, you can increase your Magic Find by quite a lot: Small Charms give up to 7 MF each, so getting a full inventory of them can significantly boost your Magic Finding capabilities. However, Small Charms compete with Grand Charms (Damage or extra MF), so you should balance these carefully.

MERCENARY

We recommend picking up Act 2 Might Mercenary for extra damage bonuses. He should be equipped with:

  1. Insight Rune Word in Ethereal Spear - This provides a Meditation Aura that increases your Mana Recovery Rate which is extremely helpful as Enigma's Teleport and your Wind Skills can drain all of your mana surprisingly quickly.
  2. Fortitude Rune Word in Armor - This will ensure that your merc doesn't die (it will make him almost immortal).
  3. Andariel's Visage - An extremely solid and versatile headgear that will make your merc better in all respects.
